I know your first thought is ahh!!! Or ewww!!! It would be mine too if she wasn’t separated by a pane of glass. I wouldn’t blame you if you want to keep scrolling, but if you’re one of the curious ones, catching your breath for a moment to admire the beauty in all of God’s creation, I’d like to introduce you to Charlotte. Yes, after Charlotte’s Web. Appropriately enough, she’s a barn spider which is a type of orb weaver - harmless even though potentially terrifying - same as Charlotte. She’s made a web outside our window and every evening after the sun has gone down she strolls across her web and hangs out in front of our window giving us a transparent view of her evening endeavors. It’s been a fun learning experience for the boys as they watch her enjoy one of her catches for dinner. 🕸️

Some houses have well water. Most people rely on city water. I came from a city with a water crisis where city water was poisoned water. Now, we rely on God and natural resources to provide water for us. Meet Julian aka Mr. Julie-oolie-oo

We moved onto our undeveloped land and two months later, after still living in our camper and awaiting delivery of our home in order to bring our belongings south including our hens, we we were feeling discouraged, closed in on, and missing our girls when one day a rooster crowed. Each morning the crows got louder until a beautiful buff Orpington rooster showed up outside of our camper. He slept in the tree next to our door and wandered the land during the day. He never left and adopted us as his family. It brought us joy as we were in our waiting space. We were happy to surprise him with a flock of girls and he’s been so well behaved and protective over them. He was one of our signs that we were right where we were supposed to be. 🐓
