Hello! I’m Amanda and welcome to this special place on the internet where I have the privilege of sharing moments of my life’s journey. It’s a joy to have you here. For the last decade, I’ve been on the hunt for the secret to living a well-loved life that provides freedom. Over the years I have redefined what freedom means to me and it’s evolved from a place of financial freedom and security to the pursuit of living a self-sufficient lifestyle as our family embarks on the adventure of homesteading. With a different mindset, I have transformed into a city turned farm girl.

I enjoy dabbling in many art forms including photography, writing, and design. The idea of living a pure life when it comes to what I’m putting in and on my body is something I strive for. Some of my long-term goals include becoming as eco-friendly, waste-free, and minimalistic as realistically possible. I’ve been blessed with my wonderful husband, Jonathan, my kindergarten bestie-son, Landon, my sweet, little bear babe Elijah and our fur babies, Gatsby, a boxer, and Isabel, a chihuahua. Native to a half-acre homestead in Michigan, we just moved to the greater Nashville area to pursue the calling God has laid on our hearts to homestead on a greater scale.

I’m one of the rare INFJs and an old soul chasing after a beautiful and pure life. I love the smell of vintage dust-laden books and listening to records of The Beatles. I’m an adventurer with dreams of traveling the world and creating a home that I never want to leave. I find comfort in creativity.

You are welcome here.

About the Golden Circle Homestead

Golden Circle Homestead is a central-Tennessee homestead on 40 acres established in 2023 and owned by Jonathan and Amanda Rodden. Previously, the Rodden’s homestead was known as the Half-Acre Homestead when they lived in Michigan on less than an acre of land in the suburbs of Genesee County – proving you don’t need much to start your dream of a simpler way of living and it only takes courage and tenacity to achieve your dreams.
